I can not boot either of these drives into safe mode due to the fact that Windows safe mode does not have the drivers for these SSD's. I've seen a couple of reports about difficulties getting into Safe Mode with an SSD and Win 7, but none that mentioned a driver as the issue.
If you're certain that there is no malware present, start in normal mode, run msconfig, and check the "Safe Boot" box on the "Boot" tab. See if you can boot into Safe Mode this way. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Should come before the OS starts loading. Once that process starts, it is too late for the BIOS safe mode command. Then you have to do it from within Windows. Windows 7 has drivers built in for both the on-board controller and for the High-Point controller so the computers boot into Safe Mode no problem.
Safe Mode loads only the bare minimum of drivers that do not include these controller drivers. I need to know how to insert the controller drivers into Safe Mode boot process.
Probably need to edit the Registry to include these drivers but I have no idea what section of the registry to edit nor the exact coding that would make safe mode load these drivers! I can give you a place to start looking, but I can't give you step by step instructions on the modifications you'll need to make to the Registry. Be sure to backup the Registry before you start experimenting. The lists of drivers and services loaded in Safe Mode and Safe Mode with Networking are located at these two Registry keys:.

I suspect that it will not be, so create a key with that name that looks like the other GUID keys. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
